Philosophy of Kentucky Undergraduate Journal for the Health Humanities

Who Can Submit?
Anyone who is an undergraduate student enrolled at a college or university may submit an original article or art piece to be considered for publication in Kentucky Undergraduate Journal for the Health Humanities provided he or she is the lead author, or the authorized agent of the author(s) and copyright holder (if different from the author(s)) to the work being submitted or is authorized by the copyright owner or owners to submit the article. Authors are the initial owners of the copyrights to their works (an exception in the non-academic world to this might exist if the authors have, as a condition of employment, agreed to transfer copyright to their employer).
General Submission Rules
Submitted articles cannot have been previously published, nor be forthcoming in an archival journal or book (print or electronic). Please note: "publication" in a working-paper series does not constitute prior publication. In addition, by submitting material to Kentucky Undergraduate Journal for the Health Humanities, the author is stipulating that the material is not currently under review at another journal (electronic or print) and that he or she will not submit the material to another journal (electronic or print) until the completion of the editorial decision process at Kentucky Undergraduate Journal for the Health Humanities. Art submissions must include a written piece explaining the art.

Formatting Requirements
Kentucky Undergraduate Journal for the Health Humanities has the following manuscript formatting guidelines.
- Margins must be 1-inch on all sides.
- Abstract must be single-spaced.
- Article text must be double-spaced.
- Font should be 12-point Times New Roman.
- All pages must be numbered. Place page number in the center of the page at the bottom.
- Articles must be submitted as both a Word document (.dox or .docx format) and a .pdf.
- Research articles should be at least 1500 words

If the Journal agrees to publish the Article, to enable the Journal to circulate your work to the fullest extent, you hereby grant to the University of Kentucky, its successors and assigns, a royalty-free, non-exclusive, irrevocable license to publish the Article, including the right to publish limited portions of the Article for reference, publicity or search purposes, in any format including without limitation, print media, all forms of electronic media, social media, all whether currently known, currently unknown, or not yet developed.
When posting/re-using an article published in an UKnowledge journal please acknowledge the original publication by giving a complete citation (journal, Vol /Issue, Month/Year) and by providing a link to the original publication in UKnowledge.
General Terms and Conditions of Use
Users of the UKnowledge website and/or software agree not to misuse the UKnowledge service or software in any way.
The failure of UKnowledge to exercise or enforce any right or provision in the policies or the Submission Agreement does not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. If any term of the Submission Agreement or these policies is found to be invalid, the parties nevertheless agree that the court should endeavor to give effect to the parties' intentions as reflected in the provision, and the other provisions of the Submission Agreement and these policies remain in full force and effect. These policies and the Submission Agreement constitute the entire agreement between UKnowledge and the Author(s) regarding the submission of the Article.
