The Kentucky Undergraduate Journal for the Health Humanities (KUJHH) publishes faculty reviewed research, scholarship, and art of undergraduate students.
As our motto "Research from an Aerial View" suggests, students from all colleges/universities, backgrounds, and disciplines are welcome and may submit work from their unique perspectives to demonstrate the various kinds of creativity the Health Humanities inspires.
What are the Health Humanities?
The Health Humanities are interdisciplinary studies that highlight how humanistic disciplines (arts, literature, law, history, philosophy/ethics, cultural studies, etc.) inform or intersect with health care and health-related subjects. We encourage students to submit work that showcases how their areas of interest relate to health and the humanities . This approach seeks to promote conversations that will lead to greater respect for disciplines outside of one’s own and to create policies for the betterment of human health and well-being in Kentucky and beyond.
