About This Journal
Nomenclatura: aproximaciones a los estudios hispánicos is an annual online, peer-reviewed, and indexed academic journal dedicated to interdisciplinary scholarship on the literary and cultural traditions of the Hispanic world. The journal is a graduate-student production of the Department of Hispanic Studies at the University of Kentucky and publishes original research in both English and Spanish on diverse aspects of the Hispanic world, ranging from the medieval period to the present.
Nomenclatura: aproximaciones a los estudios hispánicos is an open access journal and all journal content is immediately available upon publication. It is indexed on MLA Directory of Periodicals.
The 2017 issue of Nomenclatura: aproximaciones a los estudios hispánicos, the journal published by the graduate students of the Department of Hispanic Studies at the University of Kentucky, is celebrating birthday number five of this publication. This volume 5 is centering in “Descentrar la modernidad/Decentering Modernity”, and explores and contributes to the decentralization of Eurocentric discourses such as class, race, ethnicity, gender and sexuality in Latin America, Spain and other Spanish-speaking countries.
