Wells Overbey, LL.B.
Wells Overbey (December 24, 1907 - September 8, 1987) was born in Calloway County, Kentucky to Bruce Overbey and Frosie Wells. Overbey graduated from Murray State University before attending the University of Kentucky. He practiced law in Murray where he was the city attorney for 28 years. Overbey also served a four year term as Calloway County Attorney. He served as a special judge in the Marshall and Caldwell County Circuit Courts and as a special prosecutor in the Christian County Circuit Court. Overbey served in the United States Navy during World War II. He married twice--his wives were Mary Belle Clark (m. 1934, d. after 1950) and Joyce Reynolds (m. after 1950).
