Charles Bruce Morford, Jr. (February 22, 1910 - February 11, 1990) was born in Ewing, Kentucky to Charles Bruce Morford and Bettie Duffey. Morford received an A.B. degree from Transylvania College in 1929. He taught history at Cynthiana High School before attending the University of Kentucky College of Law. Morford practiced law in Carlisle. He worked for the Kentucky Department of Revenue in 1936 and for the Legislative Council in 1937. Morford was appointed Nicholas County Attorney in May 1937. He served in the United States Air Force during World War II. Morford married Jeanette Robbins in 1937.
