Charles Russell Holbrook, Jr. (May 2, 1909 - October 2, 1993) was born in Blaine, Kentucky to Charles Russell Holbrook and Nora Blanche Gartin. Holbrook graduated from the Ohio State University. He practiced law in Ashland, Kentucky in the firm of Holbrook & Pitt. Holbrook served in the United States Navy during World War II. He married twice--his wives were Margaret Alice Peters (m. pre-1947, d. pre-1947) and Ardis Marnell Graybiel (m. 1947).
