Ralph Augustus Homan, LL.B.
Ralph Augustus Homan, Sr. (July 23, 1902 - July 26, 1986) was born in Washington County, Kentucky to Charles William Homan and Nancy Bell Oder. Homan practiced law in Louisville for many years. He served as an aide to Kentucky Governors Flem Sampson and Simeon Willis. Homan was the campaign chair for two of Kentucky's United States Senators, John Sherman Cooper and Thurston Morton. Additionally, Homan served as head of Kentucky's Office of Economic Opportunity and as assistant secretary of the Interior. He married twice--his wives were Thelma Tatum (m. 1922, d. pre-1936) and Virginia Haynes (m. 1906, w. 1985).
