Oliver Lander Bright, LL.B.
Oliver Lander Bright (December 29, 1906 - December 21, 1995) was born in Flemingsburg, Kentucky to Oliver Rivers Bright and Jennie Lander. Bright practiced law with his father in the Flemingsburg firm on Bright, Bright and Hinton. He was the first lawyer to join the Fleming County Bar in twenty years when he joined in 1932. Bright also served a Circuit Court Judge. In addition to his legal practice, Bright was a farmer who raised prize-winning Charolais cattle. He was a veteran of World War II--he served in the Army where he received a serious wound to his eye and was taken prisoner by the Germans. Bright married Mary Lucille Lyons on January 24, 1931.
