Carlyle William Schuermeyer (February 11, 1905 - May 17, 1987) was born in Louisville, Kentucky to William Schuermeyer and Elizabeth Schulte. Schuermeyer served as a claims adjuster for State Automobile Insurance Co. in Louisville. He served as a Captain in the United States Army during World War II. Schuermeyer married Evelyn Wells in 1940.
