Lon Brown Rogers (September 5, 1905 - June 9, 2001) was born in Pikeville, Kentucky to Alfonso Rogers and Ida Brown. Rogers received a B.S. in Commerce and an LL.B. from the University of Kentucky. He practiced law in Lexington from 1932 until 1939. He moved his practiced to Pikeville in 1939 and practiced until his retirement in 1980. Rogers was involved in several organizations and businesses including the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, the Kentucky Mountain Laurel Festival, the Kentucky Travel Council, and the Kentucky Arts Commission. He married Mary Walton on December 17, 1938.
