Edward Dunavent Duvall (August 4, 1906 - May 4, 1993) was born in Owen County, Kentucky to Harry Duvall and Carrie May Stamper. Duvall practiced law in Owenton and served as the Owen County Attorney. Duvall served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean War. He retired from service in 1955. Duvall pursued a master's degree in mathematics after retiring from the military. He was an assistant professor of mathematics at Campbell University in North Carolina until 1971. Duvall married Mary Duncan in 1924.
