William Hubert Buckles (August 7, 1907 - September 4, 1964) was born in Russell County, Virginia to Leroy Buckles and Alice Gray. Buckles entered the tobacco industry in Lexington after graduation. He co-owned several tobacco warehouses. Additionally, he served as a president of the Lexington Tobacco Board of Trade and as a director for the Burley Auction Warehouse Association. Buckles also served as president of M-B Food Sales, Inc. in Lexington. He married Anne Denton in 1934.
