J. W. Jones (March* 13, 1902 - October 26, 1979) was born in Lyon County, Kentucky to Bennie W. Jones and Rosa Lee Holt. He practiced law in Louisville. Jones served as Assistant Attorney General of Kentucky during the 1940s. He married Clare Vize in 1940.
