George Ragland, Jr. (January 1, 1904 - January 30, 1961) was born in Waco, Texas to George Ragland, Sr. and Margaret Rawlings. Ragland taught Pleading, Negotiable Instruments, Bankruptcy, and Private Corporations courses in the College of Law between 1929 and 1930. Ragland moved to Chicago, Illinois in 1931 and practiced law in various firms there until his death. He was the author of several articles and wrote "Discovery Before Trial", published in 1932. Ragland married Dorothea Waterman in 1934.
