Speaker's Bio
Dave Maples is currently the Executive Vice President for the KY Cattlemen’s Association (18 years). In addition to the KCA, he has managed projects for the Kentucky Beef Council, Kentucky Beef Network, Kentucky Cattlemen’s Foundation, Southeastern Livestock Network and various grant projects.
During his tenure, the Kentucky cattle industry has received Tobacco Settlement dollars and he has overseen increased funding for cattle projects, marketing efforts and education, steadily increasing the value of cattle in Kentucky. Prior to coming to Kentucky, Dave worked with the Alabama Cattlemen’s Association 10 years.
He is a native of Elkmont, AL and a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a BS in Animal Science. Dave lives in Lexington with his wife Dana and children, David and Erica Caroline.
