Description
Most of the cultivated grassland in Hokkaido has been developed by mechanized work. Land clearing is first conducted using the working method suitable to remove natural obstacles, and it even influences the types of grassland use as well as the succeeding works, because of the top soil disturbance and carriage or the improvement of original slope. In this paper, these essential points are discussed.
