Description
Histoty, type and present condition of natural grassland in Hokkaido are described briefly. And some climatological and human impact problems are discussed. Sufficient rainfall, especially heavy snow supports the existence and development of many types of natural grassland community. Rapidly development of artificial grassland and reform of arableland sometimes caused big influence to natural grassland.
