Jonnie and Illya Adams-Jones are natives of Lexington, Kentucky and the proud parents of C. Phillip "Poppi" Adams-Jones. They have served as advocates for equity and justice for African Americans, Women, and the LGBTQ Community. Dedicated to the work and mission of Bluegrass Black Pride, Inc., the couple is committed to the plight of resolving issues linked to racism, misogynoir, poverty, health equity, abuse, and addiction. Although the consequences are sometimes unjustly harsh, the couple prides themselves on always Speaking Truth to Power.
