The Atlantic coast includes a number of national parks, monuments, preserves, and historic sites. Together these federal spaces encompass hundreds of shoreline miles. In this gallery, Atlantic Barrier Islands, we represent four of these coastal parks and islands with digitized maps made available in the University of Kentucky Libraries’ collection. Before launching into the maps, take a look at Charley Harper’s commissioned work, Atlantic Barrier Islands, to see the variety of flora and fauna represented in this part of the United States.
