William Hubert Counts, Sr. (May 30, 1907 - December 31, 1994) was born in Olive Hill, Kentucky to Albert Counts and Lillie Everman. Counts practiced law in Olive Hill. He served one term as Carter County Attorney between 1938 and 1942. Counts served in the United States Navy during World War II. He married Geneva Shelton in 1935.
