Samuel Manly III (June 13, 1906 - July 2, 1983) was born in Louisville, Kentucky to Samuel Manly II and Mary Williams. Manly practiced law in Louisville. He was associated with the firm of Manly and Gaillard, Greenebaum Doll & McDonald, and Manly & Heleringer. Manly retired in 1973 but later became senior counsel for the Kentucky Bar Association. He served as an officer in the Army Corps of Engineers during World War II. Manly married Nell Montgomery in 1937.
