    Harry Gordon Black, Jr. (November 2, 1907 - May 7, 1985) was born in Lexington, Kentucky to Harry Gordon Black, Sr. and Nannie Walters. Black practiced law in Lexington until 1938. He then moved his practice to Hawesville, Kentucky. Black served as Hancock County Attorney for over twenty years between 1949-1970. He served as Hawesville City Attorney between 1970-1981 and was then appointed as trial commissioner. Black married Dorothy Carr in 1934.
