Richard Beeson Carran (February 11, 1907 - January 23, 1974) was born in Ludlow, Kentucky to Earl Carran and Claire Jones. Carran practiced law in Ludlow and served for many years as the city attorney and tax collector. He later served two terms as a police judge in Versailles. Carran married Evelyn Prewitt in 1929.
