Robert Murray Odear (November 15, 1906 - November 23, 1988) was born in Lexington, Kentucky to Edgar Odear and Ida Adelaide Baker. Odear also attended Yale University where he received a Master's of Law degree. He practiced law in Lexington. He served terms as Lexington city attorney. Odear was a partner in the law firm of Stoll, Keenon & Park and later associated in the firm of Nunn, Odear & Arnold. Odear married twice--his wives were Serelda Bishop (m. 1934, d. pre-1956) and Eleanor Campbell (m. pre-1956).
