Willis Coleman Wright (February 6, 1907 - August 22, 1970) was born in Veechdale, Kentucky to Lemuel Wright and Alberta Money. He practiced law in Shelby County after graduation. He served as county attorney between 1934 and 1939 and as county judge between 1939 and 1952. He was elected as a circuit judge of the 12th Judicial District in 1952. Wright was a member of the Judicial Council of Kentucky between 1952 and 1956. He was president of the Farmers and Traders Bank in Shelbyville from 1958 to 1970. Wright served with the United States Army Judge Advocate General's Corps during World War II. He married Bess Cline Bowler in 1939.
