Henry Hewitt Harned (October 10, 1906 - May 2, 1975) was born in Boston, Kentucky to Virgil Hewitt Harned and Ruby Lee Porter. Harned practiced law in Lexington. He served as an administrative director for the Kentucky Court of Appeals, as registrar and director emeritus for the Kentucky Bar Association, as editor of the Kentucky Bar Journal, and as president of the Kentucky Historical Society. Harned was a noted silversmith who made silver julep cups. He married Earnestine Thorn in 1939.
