    Chester DeForest Silvers (October 17, 1902 - November 25, 1967) was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky to Neal Oscar Silvers and Nellie Mae Gillespie. Silvers practiced in Lexington after graduation. He served one term as a representative in the Kentucky General Assembly beginning in 1936. Silvers joined the Army in 1940 and served in the Judge Advocate General Corps. He practiced law in Lexington again before rejoining the Army in 1947. Silvers retired from the Army in 1956 and from practice in 1966. He married Sally Ann Hargis in 1934.
