Hugh Omega Porter (February 13, 1898 - September 26, 1966) was born in Nelson County, Kentucky to Otis Porter and Clarinda Jessee. Porter graduated from Berea College before attending the University of Kentucky College of Law. He practiced law in Richmond, Kentucky after receiving his LL.B.. He served as a Circuit Judge for the 25th Judicial District between 1955-1966. Porter married Martha Izora Maupin in 1934. His brother, Cassius Marcellus Clay Porter (UK Law '25), was also a graduate of the College of Law.
