James Leonard Davis, LL.B.
James Leonard Davis (September 12, 1894 - January 21, 1981) was born in Knox County, Kentucky to William Harrison Davis and Sarah Campbell. Davis worked for several years as a barber in Barbourville, Kentucky. He continued to work as a barber during his education at the University of Kentucky. He received an LL.B. from UK in 1927. Davis practiced law in Knox, Harlan, and Bell Counties. He served one term as Knox County attorney between 1934-1938. He married Blanche Tuggle in 1913.
