John Thaxter Sims (October 10, 1904 - October 17, 1978) was born in Mount Olivet, Kentucky to John Sims and Sallie McCracken. Sims practiced law in Cynthiana, Kentucky after graduation. He served as the Robertson County Attorney between 1930-1933. Sims married Sallie Asbury Worthington in 1932.
