    Cassius Marcellus Clay Porter (September 7, 1895 - October 20, 1974) was born in Botland, Kentucky to Otis Porter and Clarinda Pendleton Jesse. Porter was elected to the Kentucky General Assembly as a State Senator after graduating from the University of Kentucky. He was Bullitt County judge from 1929-1934. Porter also served as an associate commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Revenue. Porter married Daisy Dowell in 1929. His brother, Hugh Omega Porter (UK Law '28), was also a University of Kentucky Law graduate.
