Robert Lee Porter (February 19, 1900 - August 25, 1969*) was born in Kentucky to Ephraim Blaine Porter and Betty Monroe. Porter practiced law in Hazard for several years after graduation. He moved to Kansas City, Missouri in the late 1920s and worked in the legal department of the Sinclair Refining Company. Porter later moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he continued to work as a lawyer for Sinclair. He married Vivian Kemp in 1929.
