To prove that one can go about his work silently and do a great deal, we submit the instance of this young man. His progress in the Law School was never marked by outbursts, but when the time came he showed up with the highest mark on the state bar examination of any of his classmates.

Emmett Adolph Graves (August 13, 1901 - November 17, 1958) was born in Lexington, Kentucky to James Graves and Annabelle Thompson. He practiced law in Lexington after graduation.
