Raymond Joseph Connell (March 25, 1899 - January 1, 1963) was born in Paris, Kentucky to John Joseph Connell and Mary Thornton. Connell returned to Paris to practice law after graduation. He practiced in the city for over 40 years. Additionally, he served as the Paris city attorney for more than 25 years. He married Mary Frances Campbell in 1926 . Their son, Raymond Francis Connell, graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1959.
