Herbert Holbrook Moore, LL.B.

Herbert Holbrook Moore, Sr. (December 24, 1889 - April 20, 1946) was born in Blaine, Kentucky to John Moore and Nancy Lee Holbrook. Moore was a teacher in Lawrence County before attending the University of Kentucky. After receiving his LL.B., Moore went to Clark County to practice in the firm of Jouett and Jouett. He also served, at times, as Winchester City Attorney and Clark County Attorney. In 1928, Moore moved to Louisville where he became the law partner of former Kentucky Governor William Jason Fields in the law firm of Fields, Byers and Moore. He later worked as the attorney for the Dry Cleaners and Launderers Association of Kentucky. Moore married Zena Tyree McClung in March 1915.
