Description
The two objectives of this study were: I) to see if the method of the sums of temperatures allowed for a correct prediction, not only of the earliness of heading but also of the quality of spring growth whatever the surrounding conditions ; 2) to check that the criteria, suggested jn the feed Tables published by INRA in France (INRA 1981; INRA 1988) to predict the quality of spring growth, could be used for the whole of France. This study is drawn from the thesis ofM. Berekoutou (1986).
