Description
In the cultivated areas of SE Spain there are many herbaceous species growing as weeds that represent a problem for farmers ; nevertheless, some of them are traditionally utilized by sheep and goats. Some of these weeds could be grown in combination with traditional crops to obtain supplementary feed for livestock ; to decide initially which of them have greater potential as fodder covercrops, a pen-feeding palatability study has been carried out.
