For the 9th Anniversary of the African American Genealogy Group of Kentucky, this presentation centered around known resources and other avenues for locating information about African Americans in Richmond and Madison County, Kentucky. Not so long ago, it was a serious ordeal to locate the local history. It can still be a challenge, but today there is much better access to sources, and there is a network for the exchange of ideas that keeps the conversation going. “Hidden Histories” is a visual overview of research perspectives and ways of getting to the pertinent sources held in archives, libraries, and online databases (free and subscription).
