Exceedances of pH, whether above or below a groundwater protection standard range, can be particularly challenging to attribute to alternative sources. We present the use of multivariate statistical methods and geochemical approaches to inform pH ASDs for three units in conjunction with a multiple lines-of-evidence approach. The pH exceedances at these units were attributed to iron reactions in two ASDs and a peat point source in the third.
