Abstract
According to the United Nations, 1 in 3 people worldwide are living without access to clean water. Even in developed nations, the problem of clean water access still puts many people at risk. The US Water Alliance estimates that over two million Americans do not have access to running water or proper sanitation. Various factors influence water access in the US, and here in southcentral Kentucky, water access is closely tied to the unique concordance of two different landscapes: one physical and one cultural.
