Speaker's Bio
Dr. Sean Burns is an assistant professor at the School of Library and Information Science. He received his PhD from the University of Missouri and his research interests include academic libraries and scholarly communication. His current research projects involve building a framework for understanding how scholarly journals shape disciplinary identity and analyzing how the criteria used in the peer review of an open access journal fit or deviate from scientific norms.
