Description

Daniel K. Slone is a partner of McGuireWoods LLP in Richmond, Virginia. He represents developers and communities in overcoming the land use and environmental permitting impediments to small and large-scale projects such as new towns, utilities, and industrial facilities. He provides a wide range of services for developers of New Urban and sustainable projects with a related focus on the convergence of communication, power and essential services. He has assisted clients in dealing with wetland permitting and enforcement for more than two decades. Mr. Slone also works with a wide range of green product manufacturers.

He has been a member of the Board of Directors for the Congress for the New Urbanism since 2011 and was a Charter Member, General Council from 1992-2010. He co-authored A Legal Guide to Urban and Sustainable Development for Architects, Planners and Developers with Doris Goldstein (Wiley, 2008).
