Harry Porter Dees (June 4, 1912 - January 27, 2004) was born in Bowling Green, Kentucky to Samuel Dies and Ora Porter. Dees practiced law in Evansville, Indiana. He was the senior partner in the law firm of Kahn Dees Donovan and Kahn. Dees also served as a police judge in Evansville. He worked in his law office up until the week before his death at the age of 91. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. Dees married Doris Knapp in 1939.
