Jay Darwin Bond (April 24, 1908 - February 23, 2002) was born in Virgie, Kentucky to Charles Bond and Cordelia Tackett. Bond first practiced in Pikeville but moved his practiced to Prestonburg in 1937. Bond later worked as a judge for the United States Federal Communications Commission. In 1971, he moved to Florida to teach at Stetson University. Bond married Jennie Crawford in 1937.
