Robert Herbert Alsover (October 18, 1908 - March 17, 1995) was born in Big Stone Gap, Virginia to Robert Beahm Alsover and Stella Bieber. Alsover served as an appraiser for the Federal Housing Administration and for the Bureau of Public Roads. He was appointed as the Chief Appraiser for the United States Justice Department in 1960. Alsover married Kathryn Florence Gatliff on June 22, 1940.
