Henry Reid Prewitt, Jr. (October 4, 1904 - February 6, 1952) was born in Montgomery County, Kentucky to Henry Reid Prewitt, Sr. and Katie Grubbs. Prewitt attended Centre College before graduating from the University of Kentucky. He practiced law in Mount Sterling and served as the Montgomery County attorney. He was elected Commonwealth's Attorney in 1943. He married Laura Ray Crooks in 1930.
