George Washington Broadus (October 4, 1899 - November 26, 1982) was born in Owen County, Kentucky to John Broadus and Sallie Ford. Broadus practiced law in Louisville after graduation. He served on the Kentucky Compensation Board in the 1930s and as a special attorney for the Department of Justice in the 1940s. Broadus was appointed as a Circuit Court judge in 1956. He served until 1957--he was reappointed in 1959 and served until 1964. Broadus married Sue Reedy.
