It took a long time to figure this chap out, but finally we heard that he had been in Texas. That accounts for that “great open space” (blank) look that comes into his eyes as he sits with his favorite girl in the moonlight night.

John Howard King (November 27, 1896 - January 24, 1986) was born in Auburn, Kentucky to Hugh Gaston King and Emma Matthias. King practiced law in Lexington after receiving his LL.B.. In addition to his legal practice, King was a businessman who was involved in several Lexington companies and properties. He also owned a horse farm. King married Christine Gearhart in 1924.
