Harry Edward Hoffman (June 21, 1900 - June 14, 1961) was born in Dillsboro, Indiana to Edward Hoffman and Mae Hess. He moved to Jacksonville, Florida after graduation where he worked as a salesman. Hoffman later returned to Indiana and worked for many years with the Indiana Employment Service. He married Alma Rae White in 1923.
