    Call him James Lane Allen, “Jimmy,” Toofie,” or “Runt.” In college he has accumulated nicknames as some people do degrees. He M.A. the D.* and S.A.M.H.* (See p. 314)

    James March Allen (June 19, 1900 - March 3, 1931) was born in Lexington, Kentucky to Claude Julius Allen and Inez Lawrence. Allen practiced law in Lexington. He died in 1931 from complications of tuberculosis.
